John Hughes Golf launches a new program for beginning golfers, with two 90-minute sessions that introduce the basics in a hands-on, small-group setting.
CHAMPIONSGATE, FL, UNITED STATES, August 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Over the years, coaching students, meeting golf experts from around the country as an active member of the PGA, and running his own
golf instruction organization in central Florida, John Hughes has seen many individuals show interest in learning to golf but also hesitate to get involved. Some beginning golfers are intimidated by the rules and the “inside knowledge” they perceive, while others have had a discouraging experience in a large-group clinic and didn't gain useful skills they can use on the course. To meet the needs of golfers who want to learn the basics and get on the course as soon as possible, John Hughes Golf has developed the Play Golf Now Beginner Golf Clinic. This program is designed for golfers who need to learn the basics of stance, swing, grip, and other elements of the game.
The two key features of the Play Golf Now Beginner Golf Clinic that set it apart from similar programs are its small-group nature and its focus on real golfing on real holes. Each clinic is capped at four students, giving the instructor the freedom to closely observe each student’s form and provide valuable feedback. Students don't need to worry about getting lost in a crowd or not getting their questions answered. The program also gets students onto a real award-winning golf course as soon as possible so they can practice their growing skills in a satisfying way and be prepared to play on their own.
Each clinic is split into two 90-minute sessions, held two weeks apart. Clinics are offered from September 2026 through February 2027 (no clinic in December). Students interested in taking the clinic should book their spots as soon as possible, since each month’s clinic closes after four students are registered.
Golfers in the Play Golf Now Beginner Golf Clinic will learn and practice warmups, drills, and tips that they can use every time they play to improve their game. Recognizing that it is difficult to remember everything taught in a 90-minute session, John Hughes created the Play Golf Now Student Handbook, which each student receives and can use to refresh their memory as they continue developing their skills.
Students interested in continuing to book in-person or virtual coaching with John Hughes Golf can also take advantage of special offers for future instruction through the Play Golf Now Beginner Golf Clinic. Beginning golfers, those who are returning after a long break, or students who have never held a club before are all great candidates for this clinic. More information is available at John Hughes Golf, as well as on the special page for booking a slot in one of the upcoming clinics this fall, winter, and spring.
